We are sharing our recent interview with Monirah Hashemi, a playwright, director, and actor, joined by her brother Mustafa, a filmmaker.  They talk about life in Afghanistan for the Hazara, women working in the arts, and their parents encouragement to work as artists despite the pressures in their community.   Monirah and Mustafa, enduring abuse and ridicule, fled Afghanistan and are now living freely in Sweden.  Their siblings and parents live in Berlin.
