This 12-week Kultur Stories workshop series was conducted virtually, connecting participants in South Sudan, Sweden, and the United States. Special thanks to the Charlesmead Initiative for Arts Education at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) for supporting this effort.
Below are the three digital stories, written and performed by young scholars with support and guidance of student interns and adult artists/educators, which focused on the themes of COVID-19, identity, and staying at home during a pandemic.
In October 2021, we enjoyed a presentation and discussion about Kultur Stories moderated by Moulik Berkana, pubic affairs officer at the U.S. Embassy in Juba, South Sudan. Please see the recorded program here.
